We have emerged
Before I talked about emerging out in faith, I would like to give some comments about the emerge conference 2006.Talentine 2006, I feel that Febrina should not have gotten the 1st, cos she sings vibrato in every word. I feel that the singer from Vines of Acacia does not have a constant style in his voice. His low pitch is too growl but his high pitch is too sweet. Need to have a consistency in style. However, I still want to congratulate Febrina for winning the 1st in Talentine, vocal category.Parade of School, it is stated in the emerge bulletin that this event is about cheer factor. I wonder why we didn't get in to top 3. The NTU POS team are upset about it. Perhaps, the judge is looking more on the dance than stunts. We work so hard for our stunts and in the end, it is the SMU/SIM/Private schools cluster that won it. SMU/SIM/Private schools cluster POS team have a few church dancers, and well, I heard that the judge is looking more for the dance then stunts. I feel that we may not be as well as the SMU/SIM/Private schools cluster POS team, but we can do whatever they are doing. NTU POS team came up with stunts where requires a lot of people to form up. Our skills require more teamwork then individualistic. That's where we score whereas SMU/SIM/Private schools cluster POS team are more individualistic. They have the skills of their dancers. The point is that POS is about cheerleading rather than dance. Enough said. I still want to congratulate SMU/SIM/Private schools cluster for winning the Parade of School this year. There is something that NTU have that many other people doesn't have.1. We may be small in numbers, but we are big in energy2. NTU POS team comes up with stunts that are very high and requires teamwork from many people. No other POS team will dare to to that.3. NTU POS team have the faith in God that they'll work very hard and leave the rest to God on the performance day itself.I prayed to God and asked Him why we didn't get in to the top 3. He told me, "You all have shined for me." I'm really happy to hear that as I remember the for boards that we have to hold up saying SHINE FOR THE LORD. I really want to thank God for His presence on stage during our performance. From this day on, NTU ministry has emerged even stronger and more united than ever before. We want to continue to help each other to grow and bring revival to our church. We thank God for using ordinary people for doing extraordinary things for such a time as this.
