Band camp
Band camp has been bad. I realised that I have a lot of part which requires many practice, but I just got no time to practice with the numerous amount of work I've been doing. With the 1st day of band camp not going well, I see great stress in everyone. Shall not elaborate more since this is a public blog. However, I feel that this concert is quite rush. Warming up techniques keep changing and I can't really improve with inconsistency. I just want the band to slowly take one step at a time, improve themselves and push on to the next level. Even if some people don't agree with each other, there must be differences to make the band more colourful.I realised that in August, it's in deep shit. If elections were not held in July, I'll not be able to pass down my 2 positions. This is because the freshies will have join the hall sub coms or the school sub coms with people will jio them especially during orientation. I hate the hall orientationers who always ask freshies not to join the band committee because the points are too little. Well, blame it on the school. It's not our fault. If i can't pass down, I'll have to quit band until the matter is resolve then I'll return. So I want to request the chairman of the band to hold the elections earlier to avoid problem like this. There is a good point to this also, during the point when the new committee are elected, they can get to learn from the old committee about their job scope and help out for the upcoming competition if there is.

Is GPA really that important???
People talking over the coffee table about GPA makes me feel sick, especially people with high GPA... If I don't get a job with a good money prospect, I might as well don't do it. I may want to get masters too, but if the company can't ensure a good career future then I might as well not do it. Being out of the 1st class honours league, ZW decide to get out of the topic while I just keep trying to change topic, but it seems that GPA is very important. The whole world depends on GPA, then I might as well switch to a mathematics major. Sucks man.

Triple Sharing??? No way.
triple sharing room is shit... why hall 3 and 16 are smaller??? because their tables are big. If triple sharing is possible, I would want to choose my roomate and choose which hall to stay in. If they don't let me choose, then it'll be total shit, cos I may be staying with 2 unhygenic people for all I know. There must be another option. HAS has come to a point where people has forgo many values just to stay in hall. The categorisation of committment level is rubbish. They should do careful assessing on every CCA and check.Talking about CCA, band should not be a sub group due to our high intensive training. Why are people more slack than us getting hall, we have lots of practices and it is hard for people like us to travel to and fro. Well, think hard and look at how much we suffer, the most that I want is more money sponsored to us to buy new instruments and maintain them. haha...
