Exaggeration to Honour

If you believe everything someone say, think again. Today was my performance in City Harvest Church Jurong West (Chinese Service). Not really that good because I was playing 1st trumpet where the notes are higher. What shocked me was the MC's speaking on stage. They said something like we are specially hand-picked for the performance on the stage today. It's an honour to us, but I will be shocked if I am an audience down there.

Jesus said that many are called but few are chosen. I just feel that we should not mislead the audience from what they are seeing. If a professional came to hear us, he'll know that we are just a developing orchestra, rather than being selected to go on stage. It sounds like we need to go through audition to perform. It makes us looked that we put in pressurising effort, but in fact we don't. We serve Jesus in church for the entertainment of the audience, and so exaggerating honour is no neccessity. I'm sure the audience enjoyed us well and we love to share the joy of music to their ears. A musician doesn't not need to know how to play music, but he needs to know how to listen to music.
