Sales person selling fake charities
When I went home, there was this guy who try to approach me and sell pens to me, claiming that he was selling pens for charity. He sucketh big time, because of the way he present himself. Here's the conversation.
Ah Beng: Hi, thank you for stopping. I'm from this charity organisation [which I've never heard of] and we are here to create jobs for people..............
Me: Can you get straight to the point? [disgusted by his smoky breath]
Ah Beng: [Gives me a pen] Here is something for you, it's a pen.
Me: [Looks at pen and look at paper behind the pen written down is some website which I've never heard of also]
Ah Beng: So we are a charity organisation which create jobs for people and we are selling this pen so that we have enough money to create jobs for people and...................
Me: I'm sorry, I'm not interested. [returning him the pen but he doesn't want to take it back]
Ah Beng: I can see that you are not interested. [saying it in a very rude manner then unwilling takes back the pen]
Me: I need to get home and do my work. [Walks off in a rush]
Ah Beng: Everybody needs to go home and do their work. [why is he repeating what I say? and why is he telling the whole world what I'm doing]
Then he just kept ranting and ranting to me shouting louder and louder and I ignore him. I also checked my hand and see if there is any germs on me. I've also check my wallet, mp3 and mobile phone to see whether it is still with me. I was afraid that it was a scam to take some of my valuable items.
He doesn't even seem to have the licence to raise funds for some stupid charity organisation.
I hate smokers breathe especially after they smoke.
The pen looks very lousy and I feel that it is stolen from somewhere.
I didn't take note of the website, if I have, I would have make necessary measures and report this incident to the proper authorities.
The website might be fake also and it's hard to track down these buggers. If I'm not rushing home, I'll have check his licence and start a fight over there.
This is his lucky day man... that I've been nicer to him than other rude people. At most I've just complained to him in this blog. If I see him again, he'll not be that lucky anymore.
People just don't want to donate, not simply they have no charity sense. People may have put their money aside on other charity organisation. We can't pool our money into all the charity organisation in the world. And who knows, there may be scam. To all commuters out there, please check carefully when you are donating money for charity purposes. GST is increasing, so don't anyhow waste your money.
